An Open Letter to Our Lady of Lourdes College

Dear students and faculty at Our Lady of Lourdes College,

You invited us to visit your halls to share what we know about personal finance and the banking industry. We are grateful for your invitation and the joy and fulfillment you brought us yesterday.

This seminar was the second in a series of school visits during which we share our advocacies of financial education and inclusion through talks on relevant themes. Our visit to your school will be a frequent topic in future conversations as you have left a mark on our hearts. Allow us to provide you with a glimpse into our hearts and minds.

At first, three hours seemed like a lot for one talk. However, time is a funny thing. While those three hours were a lot, they were also only three. Putting the physics of time relativity aside, we knew we had to make your time with us worthwhile; we hope we did.

The start was slow and awkward, especially for us, but perhaps that is usually the case when two first meet and get to know each other. Gradually, barriers fell as we grew more comfortable with each other.

We listened to you and learned and relearned various lessons from you. Your curiosity lit up our day and reminded us why we do what we do; for that, we are grateful.

At the beginning of our talk, we mentioned that our conversation does not have to end simply because our visit has ended. You know where to find us, whether in the branch across the street from your school or one of our online channels. We will be there.

Again, thank you. We wish you all the best.

Until next time,

Your friends at Camalig Bank
