OUR COMPANY
Camalig Bank, Inc. (A Rural Bank), formerly the Rural Bank of Camalig (Albay), Inc., started its operations on 6 June 1969. Our founders started the Bank in response to the Central Bank's call to provide credit and financial services in the countryside.
Camalig Bank initially offered credit facilities to the agricultural sector. In later years, Camalig Bank extended its services to include salary, developmental, small and medium enterprise, real estate, microfinance, and DepED APDS (Department of Education Automatic Payroll Deduction Scheme) loans. The changing needs of the communities we serve led to expanding several other products, including financing for gadgets, vehicles, and heavy equipment. These loan types are introduced to meet the business and personal needs of Bicolanos in the hopes of spurring local economic activity.
We take pride in a healthy deposit portfolio deeply rooted in our clients' trust. We have a wide selection of deposit products tailored to help our clients start their financial journey and achieve maximum growth potential for their savings.
Fast forward to fifty years since our humble beginnings, Camalig Bank has gone to great lengths to transform from a single branch to now a solid institution with a region-wide presence through our eighteen branches and five branch-lite offices.
We are a financial institution committed to becoming part of our clients' growth through providing competitive rates and competent service while ensuring good corporate governance and prudent decision-making in all transactions.
Our Commitment Translated to Numbers
In our decades of service, we have endeavored to maintain financial stability in our operations.

OUR TAGLINE
“Let’s redefine banking.” is a continuation of Camalig Bank’s previous tagline, “Rural banking with confidence.” In this light, our new statement affirms our adaptability as a rural bank and calls for us to work towards our shared aspirations. The word let’s is used in this tagline to suggest that where we are and where we will go is always a result of strong partnerships, whether with our clients, corporate partners, consultants, or accrediting bodies. The word let’s is imperative because redefining banking is not something we have finished. It is something we do.
One of the dictionary’s definitions of the word define is to “mark out the boundary or limits of.” To redefine, then, is to take generally accepted ideas and push, if not break, boundaries. Our choice to redefine is humbling, in as much as it is proud, because its why is rooted in our commitment to our partners.
The definition of the word banking encompasses a plethora of financial services. Ideally, the banking system should offer services fit for and accessible to any person. However, this is not yet the case in our local context. Part of the perceived definition of banking is that financial services are mainly a privilege for those who can afford them. Seldom thought of are those who are systematically impoverished. These people endure long treks, lines, and procedures; to them and many others, banking is seen as confusing and intimidating. Ironically, though, the unserved and underserved are the ones who need banks the most. The reality people experience mainly shapes this limited and highly exclusive definition of banking. It is this definition we wish to redefine.
Together, “Let’s redefine banking” is a challenge. This is our message to the world.
The new tagline is an acknowledgment of our history and what has remained constant— our commitment to our stakeholders. Looking back, we realize that our challenge to redefine banking is not new. Camalig Bank started with the idea to bring financial services to a small town in Albay. With the help of our partners, this idea was formed, grown, and shared.
We celebrate the partnerships that have helped us grow while reaffirming our commitment and looking forward. The tone of the tagline is inviting and optimistic; banking on our clients’ trust, we can redefine banking to be more inclusive. The possibilities to do this are endless.

OUR CORPORATE LOGO
The blue triangle represents the Mayon Volcano. The Mayon Volcano has always been part of Albay province's landscape. Albay is where Camalig Bank established itself and will always root itself. Mayon is described as majestic, alluring, strong, and omnipresent. Mayon will always be in the backdrop of our Camalig. Mayon complements Camalig in showing a trusting and dependable relationship. Blue also represents infinite possibilities.
The rainbow is abbreviated into two colors: yellow, representing gold or wealth, and orange, symbolizing a bright future.
The direction of the rainbow is upward, signifying a progressive future. This is the general direction Camalig Bank intends to pursue.
The green triangle represents the camalig. A camalig in earlier times was a storehouse for farm produce. It signifies ample food supply, especially in times of hunger and crisis. Green also represents food or basic needs and, of course, money.
